How to connect SCOM/SCSM 2012 R2 Management Servers to Microsoft Defender for Endpoint

Hi All,

We have trouble connecting SCOM/SCSM 2012 R2 Management Servers to Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.

Built-In Microsoft Monitoring Agent (MMA) cannot be used to report to Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) as the tab Azure Log Analytics (OMS) is missing for SCOM/SCSM 2012 R2 Management Servers.
We are able to connect Agent based machines as we have the Azure Log Analytics (OMS) tab.

Can anybody help me with the solution to connect SCOM/SCSM 2012 R2 Management Servers to Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.

Please make sure you meet the prerequisites listed in the documentation below:

Also have you imported the following management pack?
Microsoft System Center 2012 R2 Operations Manager Management Pack to configure Operations Management Suite

Do you have any plan to upgrade to a higher version? SCOM 2012 R2 is really old. In my SCOM 2019 test lab, I have the Azure Log Analytics tab.
