Public users folder gone

My C:\Users\Public folder just vanished into thin air I didn't delete it or anything its just gone

How can I fix this?

Have you turned on Hidden Items on the view Menu and system folders in Options in File Explorer, to check if that folder is just hidden?

Open File Explorer, then paste this into the address bar and press Enter:

%public%

Does that find the public folder and what is the reported location in the address bar?

Hi,

Perhaps the folder is hidden or super-hidden.

What happens when you type "C:\Users\Public" in the Run dialog and click OK.

The Public folder has not much significance (other than the 6 common/special folders it hosts) in Windows 10, anyway.

    It doesn't vanish by itself. Someone (re)moved it. Check in the Recycle Bin and also check in your OneDrive.

    Also: Restart your computer, which often solves a problem.
