Is Terminal the same as Powershell?

I just upgraded W10 to W11. Now, I see "Terminal" and "Terminal (admin)" instead of "PowerShell" and "PowerShell (admin)". Is Terminal a replacement for PowerShell" or do I need to install PowerShell (and if I do, how do I do it)?

    Hi,

Windows Terminal is a new terminal host application included with Windows 11.

When you open it, you will find that the tab sais "Windows Powershell". You can click the drop-down arrow to show more profiles. These include CMD etc.

The new Terminal is a more refined host for console windows, not a shell itself. If you open powershell within it, it should act exactly like when you opened the old powershell, with the addition of clickable links, tabs, and custom profiles.

    Sincerely

    LightJack

LightJack05, thanks. Yesterday was the first time I saw the Terminal, and I was concerned that I didn't see Powershell.
