Hi,

I would like to clarify this.

As TPM chips is banned in China mainland from 1999 and instead of using TPM by TCM chips.

I'm engaging a project which is to deploy Windows 11.

Does anyone know about the restrictions on the use of TPM2.0 in China and if it impact on Windows 11 upgrade?

Thanks!

    Hi Yi_1215,

I am Dave, I will help you with this, I have read about this problem.

Because there are no TPM chips in Chinese personal devices, the Windows 11 update will not be rolling out to most Chinese users. This ruling doesn’t include corporations and other major Microsoft clients.

The state requirement is for the TCM chips that OEMs use in their products.

Microsoft provide the link below on a method to upgrade on a Pc without the TPM chip requirement, I do not know if that will work in China, but it would be worth trying that.
