PFMailbox1
Error: PublicFolderSizeExceedsTargetQuotaException: Error: Source public folder size 175032590448 exceeds target Mailbox quota. Permissible target Mailbox quota is 128849018880. Original target Mailbox quota is 107374182400.

PFMailbox2
Error: PublicFolderSizeExceedsTargetQuotaException: Error: Source public folder size 172683632019 exceeds target Mailbox quota. Permissible target Mailbox quota is 128849018880. Original target Mailbox quota is 107374182400.

This is the errors I got. I have researched everything I could find. and everything talks about splitting mailboxes but I have no individual mailboxes over the limit. I have 1 public folder database on my exchange 2010 server. and when I try to create another one it says I can only have one per exchange server.

    @Preston

Here are detailed information about the limitation for Exchange online mailbox, have a check about it:

For more detailed information, you can have a look about this article: Exchange Online limits

Yes, on Exchange 2010, there can only exist one Public Folder Database. For Exchange 2013 and later, Public folder is hosted on Public Folder Mailbox rather than Public Folder Database. You could create more than one Public Folder Mailbox.

If your Public Folder beyond the limitation, I would suggest you backup part of them, then delete them from Public Folder. After migration Public folder to Exchange online, recreate those folders and import data to it.

You can also migrate Public Folder to Exchange 2016 first, then migrate to Exchange online. In this way, you will have a newer Exchange on-premises server to manage mailboxes(In a hybrid mode, you need to manage migrated mailboxes from Exchange on-premises).

Yes thanks for that. But I think anyone that is trying to undertake something like this will have read and re-read that article like a million times along with all the limitations and requirements.

The problem was my map.csv was all jacked up and did not have my whole tree (which I have fixed instead of creating 2 folders online it should have made 13. Now I have a new issue because I failed that migration. now when I try to start the migration I get this. command first then error..I have checked to make sure nothing is locked for migration and deleted the batch migration request in Exchange online

    PS C:\Users\administrator.company> $PfEndpoint = New-MigrationEndpoint -PublicFolder -Name PublicFolderEndpoint -RPCPr
    oxyServer $Source_OutlookAnywhereExternalHostName -Credentials $Source_Credential -SourceMailboxLegacyDN $Source_RemoteM
    ailboxLegacyDN -PublicFolderDatabaseServerLegacyDN $Source_RemotePublicFolderServerLegacyDN -Authentication Basic
There's already an endpoint named 'PublicFolderEndpoint'.

If your Public Folder beyond the limitation, I would suggest you backup part of them, then delete them from Public Folder. After migration Public folder to Exchange online, recreate those folders and import data to it.

Are you saying to export them locally to a pst then once I recreate the folders on line to then drag and drop them in?

You may get this error during:
target public folder mailbox quota is exceeded,
target public folder quota is exceeded.
The above error will appear when your target primary public folder mailbox exceeds its maximum allowed size, 50 GB or 100 GB, depending on your Office 365 plan.

To solve this problem, you need to wait for up to two weeks for the Office 365 AutoSplit feature to kick in. Automatic splitting will create a secondary mailbox for public folders and move some data from the primary mailbox to the secondary mailbox.

You may also get the error if your source and target public folder quotas do not match, for example, when migrating a public folder that exceeds the maximum folder size allowed in your target environment.
