Vt-x enabled in bios but not working in windows 11
Hi,
I am trying to use virtual box but it is sayng that my computer does not support VT-x technology.
I checked in bois and it is enabled. How can I make it work?
I have alredy tried the folowing:
1)disabled vt-x tech. in bios, restarted the pc, shutted down and enabled again. Nothing happend
- enabled Hyperv, restarted, disabled Hyperv and restarted again. Nothing happened, Windows 11 is still not able to us VT-x virtualization technology.
I have even used intel processor identification utility, and even that program sees VT-X tecnology as disabled.
I kindly ask your help because I am becoming crazy and I really do not know how to make it work.
Francesco

2023-02-01T06:15:52+00:00 I can't run gpedit (Group Policy Editor) on Windows 11 Home Edition. But, somehow I managed to solve it by disable Core isolation in Windows Security. Not sure if it the safe/right way to do it. But now I can run virtual machine in VMware Workstation 16.2.5. Thanks for sharing.

2023-01-31T04:25:23+00:00 I'm having same issue here.. any solution? After upgrading my BIOS and Windows 10 Home Edition to Windows 11 Home Edition. Windows does not detect Virtualization enable on it. My CPU does support Virtualization and already enable it in BIOS. Strange, Task Manager show Virtualization is enabled. But I'm unable to run virtual machine on VMware Workstation 16.2.x

2022-09-25T21:43:00+00:00 I actually just made progress on this but followed a slightly different path. I used the "HVCI and Windows Defender Credential Guard hardware readiness tool" to fully disable HyperV by disabling Credential Guard: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/identity-protection/credential-guard/credential-guard-manage#disable-windows-defender-credential-guard-by-using-the-hvci-and-windows-defender-credential-guard-hardware-readiness-tool
After doing that, the Intel Processor Identification Utility now reports that I have Intel Virtualization Technology and Intel VT-x with EPT which allowed me to install HAXM through Android Studio. It does still report that I don't have Hyper-Threading support which is incorrect but at least some progress was made.
