My keyboard on my Windows 10 laptop usually works prefectly. However, after spamming my keyboard and pressing some key, I am unable to type letters. I can type numbers and special characters just fine, but not letters. I tried using the virtual keyboard, but I could not type letters there either. Sticky keys were turned off as well. So what is the problem? And how do I fix this? Reminder, I can't enter the password as it contains letters and am now stuck in lockscreen.

    Hi MrGubbo

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

On the On-Screen Keyboard, is it indicated the NumLock key is pressed, and if so, can you tun it off from there?

    2

Otherwise, try pressing the NumLock key or Fn + the Numlock key or even Numlock + Esc to see if that gets the alphabetical characters working.

User Dave, on the On-Screen keyboard (virtual keyboard), the num-lock key was not pressed. On the actual keypad, the num-lock key was not pressed either. After pressing Fn + Numlock and Numlock + Esc, there was no change. However, you needn't worry about the probelm any more. I sent the laptop to the Lenovo serviceman (it is a Lenovo laptop) and he repaired it for free as it was still under the warranty. Thank you for your assistance, User Dave.
