Just built a new machine, basics of the build:

Ryzen 9 5900X
GTX 970 (old card from previous build)
64GB 3600MHz RAM
1TB NVMe Samsung 980 Pro
250GB Samsung Evo 980
Several other HDDs

Most recent event logger has given me this WHEA logger below:

From other threads/online posts I am concerned I might have to RMA the CPU.
If anyone can assist, it would be much appreciated.

    Hi,
    Some information below:
    WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (124)
    IMAGE_NAME: AuthenticAMD.sys
Also if we use !errrec command to check bugcheck. The CPU has detected an internal error. It might be defective. Overclocking may also occurred. Make sure you have the latest BIOS update installed and AMD chipset driver, video card driver installed. you could try to download them from the manufacturer's official website.
Hope this helps and please help to accept as Answer if the response is useful.
    Best Regards,
    Carl

    There were 5 collected minidumps.

    All were bugchecks WHEA 124.

There were drive problems including bad blocks.

The CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X was tested to support RAM up to:
    System Memory Specification
    Up to 3200MHz
    https://www.amd.com/en/products/cpu/amd-ryzen-9-5900x

    The RAM was at:
    MemoryType : DDR4
    FormFactor : DIMM
    Capacity : 16GB
    Speed : 3600
    Serial : 00000000
    PartNumber : F4-3600C16-16GVKC

    RAM: 3600 > 3200

    1) During the troubleshooting make sure that there is no overclocking and that all components are returned to stock.

    2) Turn off XMP.

    3) Uninstall: MSI Afterburner 4.6.4 Beta 3

    Please perform the following tests:

    4) To ensure that there are no improper bios settings please reset the bios.

Post images into the thread for results on these tabs:
    a) Health
    b) Benchmark
    c) Full error scan

    6) Run Sea Tools for Windows
    long generic test
Post an image of the test result into the thread

    7) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    chkdsk /b /v
This may take hours to run so plan to run overnight.
Run on all drives using the syntax: chkdsk /b /v C: or chkdsk /b /v D: changing the drive letter to the applicable drive.

    C:\Windows\system32>chkdsk /b /v
The type of the file system is NTFS.
    Cannot lock current drive.

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)

    Type: Y
    reboot

    8) Use the information in this link to find the chkdsk report in the event viewer.
Copy and paste into notepad > save to desktop > post into the thread using a one drive, drop box, or google drive share link:

    9) There will be more tests entered as results are posted

    10) These steps / tests can be performed overnight:
    a) HD Tune full error scan
    b) Sea Tools for Windows long generic test
    c) Chkdsk /b /v
