Setting different language for different applications on Windows 11

Question

I am using 4 different languages on my Windows system. Under Settings/Time & Language/Typing/Advanced Keyboard Settings, in the part called Switching input methods, I have selected the option Let me use a different input method for each app window. But where and how do I then select within each of the apps the language that I wish to use? Is it on the app level or can it also be set on the level of a particular file open in that app, e.g. can I have one language for one document in Excel and another for others? And is it possible to make it stick so that the next time I open that same app window, the selected language is automatically set? Please note that I am not asking how to change the default input language (i.e. using the shortcut keys, the Windows+Spacebar or selecting the language from the taskbar). I am asking to use the option as mentioned at the beginning of my question: Let me use a different input method for each app window, assuming that this would happen automatically.

I see, it would be a great feature, I'm always switching between English and Portuguese, I know well how it feels.

Don't forget to send the suggestion on the Feedback Hub, maybe in the future they add this feature, we already have Power Automate on Windows 11, it can be the first step

What confuses me is that there does seem to exist at least a certain level of "automation". As an example, I wrote my last Outlook email in Spanish while my default input language is US English. I then open Word and start writing there - the input language shifts to English without any intervention on my part. Then I go back to Outlook and even without starting a new email, just clicking on the Outlook window, the language shifts to Spanish.

Sorry, but this is not possible. When you change the language on an Office app, the language changes on all apps.

What you asking is even harder, different languages on different app windows.

You can always leave a suggestion on the Feedback Hub (Shortcut WinKey + F) to implement this feature on future updates/versions
