I can't add my account to Authenticator, without a code from Authenticator. MS Tech Spt has taken remote control of my computer and ran through every option. The codes they give me don't work,.
Delete account from authenticator
I need to delete an account from authenticator app. I have searched online, including youtube. A couple different ways were shown but none of them worked the way they showed or described. How can I delete an account from authenticator?

2022-01-24T14:00:31+00:00 Hi Glenn,
I have a similar problem, but with a twist. The account I'm trying to remove is a work account with a company I no longer work for, The company already disabled the account, which is fine, but the account still appears in my account list, and is greyed out. So, if I click on it , nothing happens. It is not causing any harm, but I would really like to remove this zombie account from my list of accounts.
Is there any way to remove this, or am I stuck with it forever?
Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian!
That might be quite tricky because it's a company email which usually means it's a Microsoft Exchange account that amazingly can only be removed by the I.T. folks of your former employer since they retain full control of the account.
However, can you please try the suggestion by SebMenard in the following link and see if that works for you: Authenticator App - can't remove greyed out account - Microsoft Q&A
This is what I had DKA373 -- the one who started this thread -- try for his issue but it's not a company email that he or she is having a problem with though. FYI.

I’ve sent you a private message detailing steps to try for this issue of yours but I have not gotten an update from you it they were helpful or not.
At any rate, please post on the same thread if you need further help.
