In azure I get the advise to enable windows defender exploit guard, but in server 2016 I don't see the option (in windows 10 and server 2019 I do see the option).

Also I get the advise to install the guest configuration extension. Does anyone know how?

    Hi,

This is because the exploit protection is supported beginning with Windows 10, version 1709 and Windows Server, version 1803:
Windows Server 2016 is version 1607, therefore it doesn't support the Windows Defender Exploit Guard.
