Update: Issue solved. Watched YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-VFt7kW7R8 and the 1st troubleshooting step fixed the error and let me install DirectPlay. Game will now launch. Thank you for your help!

Thank you for the screenshots, but it is a screenshot of the Display tab of that DirectX utility I need to see.

Click your Start Button, then just type dxdiag and press Enter
Select the Display tab on the resulting DirectX utility and please post a screenshot of that Display tab.

Click your Start Button, then just type msinfo and press Enter.
Please provide a screenshot of the resulting System Information window.
