Did you apply any updates to your server recently? Try to run the SharePoint Product and Configuration Wizard on your issued server and see if the error still exists. Please paste the error message when you try to start service and event viewer related error message as well. This service should be running upon LOCAL SYSTEM account by default. Check this out too.
