I called Microsoft because I was having issues with my Microsoft 365 email authentication issues and after not talking to someone directly they stated we will call you back. 3 months later I get a random call from an Indian agent and is asking me for personal information and I’m thinking it’s a scam, I totally forgot about the Microsoft issue as it’s been months. I get into an argument with the agent, I hang up on him and he calls me back and talks to me like I’m his son telling me not to say bad words! Who the hell are you to call me back and to tell me what I can or can’t do. You’re not my father. After this I noticed my website results are all gone. HE RETALIATED AGAINST ME. I will be able to prove it soon. Also my website has no errors and is a legal website that offers compliance and works with the government of California. I’m on Google and we are not violating any laws nor any bing copyright issues or any other issues. This is just a payback for me being rude to a sales rep. SHAME ON BING

That sounds like a really frustrating experience. If your website ranking dropped suddenly, it’s worth checking for technical issues or any recent algorithm updates too. Hopefully, Microsoft or Bing support can give you clearer answers soon.

It's very unlikely that this agent have something to do with your site being dropped in the ranking.
Anyways, we're unable to address complaints to another Microsoft Employees on this forum.
What a coincidence that my rankings and site vanished from Bing (Microsoft) but still active on Google! Hmm.. the timing couldn’t been any better! Go figure! Luckily Bing ain’t that bad as I use Google too!
We are here not for speculating and not providing probably false expectations that some agent did this, which is quite not possible, as the agent who called you is probably just a Customer Service Associate who 99.9% have nothing to do with this.
Let's imagine that every Indian from support can change the ranking of a website. Well I think they would just be paid a couple of thousand dollars, which is a huge amount for them, since the salaries in support there are around $300 per month, and they would raise the rankings of all sorts of prohibited websites like online crypto casinos.
Rankings in Google, Bing and in general in any search engines are not designed for the fact that someone can manually raise or lower the rankings of some individual sites, because this would break the meaning of search algorithms.
Its not unheard of that company employees retaliate against customers? It personally happened to me more than once. I’m also aware of multiple other companies that had employees retaliate against customers. One famous instance was the eBay executives harassing the couple in the East Coast. There are many many more and many more that are going unreported and under the radar because it’s hard to prove. But I will find a way to prove it, soon!
Insulting customer service staff by customer is a fairly common occurrence, stress-resistant people are hired for this job, and few people take insults seriously these days. This does not mean that you can insult them - but for me, it is absolutely clear that the support staff member did not do this.
Pavel, With respect, it’s not just hypothetical or impossible, there’s evidence corporate insiders can retaliate.
Microsoft has recently been accused of flagging employee protests to the FBI, banning Gaza-related internal posts, and even firing staff for organizing vigils or disruptive demonstrations.
These aren’t speculative scenarios, they’re happening now, at one of the world’s largest tech firms. So when a small business vanishes from Bing but remains on Google, it’s not paranoia, it’s a logical concern given Microsoft’s real actions today.
