I'm having the same problem I was wondering if the problem maybe that I don't have One Drive on computer as I'm using the free Online version. Can the One Drive be access if I'm using the Online version?

    Hi Thomas Bennett

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum. Thank you for reaching out and sharing your issue.

I understand how frustrating this situation can be, and although I don’t have a QL-700 unit on hand to test directly, I’ve done my best to research this issue and provide practical solutions based on documentation and related scenarios.

From what you've described, the error appears related to the P-Touch Editor software attempting to access OneDrive. Below are the recommended steps to help you resolve or work around the issue.

Ensure OneDrive is running and synced as if it's paused, signed out, or has sync issues, P-Touch Editor won't be able to access files stored there:

    • Check the system tray (bottom-right corner of your screen) for the OneDrive cloud icon.
    • Click the icon and confirm the status says “OneDrive is up to date”.

Manually open or save files to OneDrive, instead of using the software’s Open or Save to Web shortcuts to avoid issues with automatic integration:

    • Use File > Open > Computer > navigate manually to OneDrive folder.
    • Likewise, for saving, use File > Save As > choose OneDrive manually, and save the file.
    • If problems persist, you can temporarily save files to a local folder (like Desktop or Documents) and move them to OneDrive manually.

To use P-Touch Editor reliably, make sure your computer is running a supported version of Windows, such as Windows 10 or 11, as Brother no longer supports older systems.

Also, ensure you're using the latest version of P-Touch Editor and QL-700 drivers. You can download the most recent updates from Brother’s official support site to help improve stability and compatibility.

Running P-Touch Editor as Administrator may resolve possible permission issues with cloud storage:

    • Right-click the P-Touch Editor icon and choose “Run as administrator”.

Optional workaround: The Brother QL-700 supports Microsoft Office integration, allowing you to print labels directly from Word or Excel using Brother’s add-ins or templates.

Most importantly, kindly share a screenshot of the exact error message you're seeing if possible.

I truly appreciate your patience and understanding. Hope the details provided will assist you effectively.
