Microsoft Teams audio not switching between chats

I have users complaining about an issue with Teams. These people are typically in multiple active chats at the same time, and sometimes have to switch mic between them. When they do, the mic and associated controls don't respond unless they unplug the USB headset multiple times

So, to expand on this question a bit, these users are in a vendor chat and a corporate chat. They tend to stay in the corporate chat most of the time, but when they need to swap over to the vendor chat, they tend to have to go back and forth a few times, and each time, they lose mic connectivity until they unplug and replug in their USB headsets twice, at least. The mute button and volume control are lost at the same time.

    Hi @Lambdin, Arlo

These people are typically in multiple active chats at the same time, and sometimes have to switch mic between them.

I am not sure if you are switch mic in the same tenant, or you switch mic between different tenants? Could you describe it the detailed steps of switch mic to us?

To exclude the client issue, we firstly recommend you try to use Teams web client to see if this issue can be fixed. If there is no issue in Teams web client, please sign out your Teams client and clear Teams client cache file by following these steps:

1.While holding the Windows key, press R to open Windows Run, then copy and paste the following into the box and click OK:
    %appdata%\Microsoft
2.Find the Teams folder, then right click it and select Delete
    3.Relauch Microsoft Teams.

If the above suggestion is not helpful, I have some questions to confirm with you:

    1. Does anyone else have the same issue in your organization?
2)Have you tried to change another mic device to see if it works?
