The HP Envy x360 2-in-1 Laptop (Model: 15-ew0023dx, Serial Number: CND2360WVN; Product Number: 695B0UA) is no longer recognizing the built-in speakers or external audio system after upgrading to Windows 11. The device originally came with Windows 11 Home and features Audio by Bang & Olufsen; Dual speakers; HP Audio Boost.

After keeping the system updated through Windows Update, an issue was discovered during a Zoom call where the audio speakers were not recognized, and Device Manager indicated problems with the audio drivers. Despite attempts to troubleshoot with HP and Windows, including rolling back updates and resetting the system to its original state, the audio issue persists.

Any suggestions on what to try next would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

HP Envy x360 2-in-1 Laptop (Model: 15-eS15xxxxx - All hardware diagnostics and physical have been checked. The microphone is detected and per HP and Microsoft diagnostics everything is fine. The problem is the microphone input level is stuck at 0 and NOTHING appears to resolve this accept re-installing Windows which will set operation needs back a week - a value of $3,200 in lost income. This failure appeared to have occurred sometime in late May 2026 as the internal microphone was operational in early May 2026 for a zoom call. Any suggestions short of having to attach an external microphone - which, happens to work just fine.
