An Azure service that provides geospatial APIs to add maps, spatial analytics, and mobility solutions to apps.
For clarity, the region doesn't really make a difference when using Azure Maps. Azure Maps is a global service and not a platform you deploy into your subscription. All request to Azure Maps will be directed to the nearest Azure data center to the user making the request that has Azure Maps services available. So, a user in Florida is likely to connect to the East US data center while a user in the UK is likely to connect to the Ireland data center, regardless of what you have set the account region to. There are different endpoints for Azure Maps available if you need to keep requests within the US or the EU, but even then, requests will still be directed to the nearest data center within that region. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-maps/geographic-scope
