Audio output through bluetooth not working in teams app android

I  am  using Teams  app  android  to  attend  my online classes  but I am facing issues  with bluetooth speaker. I wanted  to  use  Nest  mini  for  audio  output so  I   paired  to  it through bluetooth  on  my android device and  audio  output of  all  the  apps  work  except teams. This  issue  seems  to  be  only  on  android  app  because on  the  desktop app on  windows 10 the  same  speaker  works  absolutely fine. In  the  android app  when  I  try  to  switch  the  audio  output to  bluetooth, within  a  second it  switches  back  to  device  audio. I  tried on another android device as  well  but no luck. I  am  running the  latest  teams  version  (as  no  updates  available in  Play  store). Any  help  is  welcome.

    Hi Uthayamurthy,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community

When connecting in Bluetooth headset, Teams may not recognize the device, a way to solve this issue is undergo a restarting process.

You may also clear your teams cache on your android phone.

You can tap “Settings” > “Applications” > “Manage Applications” > find your Teams app from the app entry then tap it > tap "Storage" > Tap the "Clear Cache" button to delete the cache > return to Android’s home screen > restart your Teams app > sign in your account again and check the result.

    Best Regards,

    Regie S.

    Hi Uthayamurthy,

Thank you for sticking with me, can you confirm if no device is connected to the Bluetooth device during the process of pairing it to the android device?

Simultaneously, you may also try to reach to the device manufacturer for other opinion.

    Best Regards,

    Regie S.
