Teams Apps crashing on Mac with Catalina 10.15 OS

I was able to use it earlier,  shared a screen with another user.

But when I try to create another meeting, it crashed.

When I clicked the camera icon, this is how it looks like.  It freezes and does not show anything related to video chat.

And when I tried to join a calendared meeting, it again freezes.

It reinitiates over and over.

What to do? SOS

Thanks.

    Hi Leili1977,

Greetings, it's my pleasure to help you.

To troubleshoot the issues you described, please kindly try to clear the Teams caches to see if it helps. Here are the steps to clear the Teams caches:

    1. Click Go > Go To Folder.
    2. Then negative to following folder and delete them to see if it helps.

    ~/Library/Caches/com.microsoft.teams

    ~/Library/Caches/com.microsoft.teams.shipit

    ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams

If the issue persists after you try above steps, may I know if there is any error messages or crash logs when Teams crashes? If so, please kindly share related information with us for analysis. I will send you a Private Messages (PM) to collect this information.

In addition, please also make sure to update your Teams client to the latest version and share a screenshoot of the Teams client version with us.

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

    Regards,

    Jennifer

    Hi Leili1977,

Thanks for your update, however, to further troubleshoot the cause of this issue, we need to collect the logs for further analysis. Could you please kindly save the complete crashes log to a Word document and share the Word document with us in the PM

In addition, sometimes other background programs may conflict with Microsoft Teams and cause this problem, to isolate this issue, it is recommended to start your Mac in safe mode and check the result.

We are sorry for the inconvenience this issue has brought to you, thank you for your understanding and cooperation, I'm looking forward to your update.

    Best regards,

    Jennifer
