To troubleshoot the issues you described, please kindly try to clear the Teams caches to see if it helps. Here are the steps to clear the Teams caches:
- Click Go > Go To Folder.
- Then negative to following folder and delete them to see if it helps.
~/Library/Caches/com.microsoft.teams
~/Library/Caches/com.microsoft.teams.shipit
~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams
