Yeah Teams is absolute garbage. I accidently called 100+ people because of this #$^@ key combination as pasting text is CTRL+SHIFT+V one keystroke off and you are making a call. Honestly Teams feels like it was designed by a high school student as a programming assignment for graduation. They got a D+, Microsoft purchased it and slapped their brand on it and shipped it as is. There are so many horrible behavior on this junk that it feels like a perpetual alpha product.

I am constantly hitting this by accident and I hate it...

CTRL + SHIFT + C was a really bad choice for this shortcut...

    Hi,

I currently work for a large technology company and I'm honestly shocked that huge, egregious issues like this ever make it into full release. CTRL + SHIFT + V is very, VERY common shortcut for pasting anything without formatting.

Any semi computer literate user likely uses shortcuts like this. CTRL + C and CTRL + V.

This shortcut is simply horrendous. I am constantly pasting items into my Teams chat to provide them with updates and to request they address certain issues as they arise.

I can't count the amount of times I've accidentally initiated a FULL team call on accident because of this perplexing decision.

Worse still is the lack of basic customization. It's not difficult to provide simple options to disable shortcuts. Even if you didn't want to provide full optimization and customization, at LEAST provide the option to disable them.

Honestly, I'd gladly disable 100% of them with a single button if it meant avoiding this poorly decided shortcut altogether.

I simply can't fathom that this wasn't found during initial beta testing. Honestly, it would have been found during alpha testing, if you had even semi-coherent computer users testing it.

Please resolve this IMMEDIATELY! It's awful, creates mass confusion, and makes the user look foolish on a team-wide level with a simple press of three buttons. Definitely not ideal for a professional business setting.

As someone who works the midnight shift, I must emphatically ask the exact same question lol.

As a workaround, you can remap the shortcut keys to whatever you like by using PowerToys.
