cant use alternative login into microsoft software/website

Question

No where on this site does it give me the option to login with a alternative account. I dont want to use my main email, i want to use my school email for Teams. For a brief moment there was a button that said login with a different account but when i clicked it it just refreshed the page and disappeared.

If you are using the Team web app, you will need to clear the cache and cookies.

If you are using the Team desktop app, you need to remove all cache files.

To delete all cache files, you follow this steps (in Windows):

a. Fully exit the Microsoft Teams desktop client.

b. Go to File Explorer, and type in appdata\Microsoft\teams and remove all the content.

c. You must restart the app and try again.

If the problem continue:

a. uninstall the Team desktop app.

b. Go to File Explorer, and type in appdata\Microsoft\teams and remove all the content.

c. Reboot the computer and install the Team desktop app again.

I'm using the web app, and i clear both cookies and cache and it still shows the default email, unallowing me to change it.

1. Which browser are you using?
2. Are you using the last update of the browser?
3. What happen if you try with other browser (last update of Edge or Chrome)?
4. Can you try to use the In private mode? What happen?
5. Can you try after clear the saved password list?

I don't wish to use another browser, I'm using Rambox to access Teams. it is up to date and is chromium based. Setting it to private does allow me to enter my school email into the sign in though, but shouldn't be a long-term solution.

Hello Annabella. I'm agree with your opinion, but you should keep in mind the browsers compatibility level, Microsoft suggests to fully compatibility the last updates of Edge or Chrome as indicate the section "Browsers" from:

However, the best option to improve this feature is sending a feedback directly to Microsoft.
