Hi,

I downloaded the MS Teams app in my computer but when I tried to sign in it gave me this message.

"Due to org policy, you can’t use @outlook.com with Teams on this device - error. Contact your admin for your info". But I am the admin.

Please help how to resolve this.

Matt

    Hi Matt,

Based on your description of the error message, this could be that you have other Microsoft business account signed into your PC that might have affected this. To see if this is the cause, please kindly sign into Teams on the web in an InPrivate or Incognito window to see if you could sign into your account there.

If everything works fine on the web, please kindly clear Teams cache and credentials in the following folders to see if it helps:

    If you are using Windows:

    • Please delete the following files:

     %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\application cache\cache

     %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\blob_storage

     %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\Cache

     %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\databases.

     %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\GPUcache

     %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\IndexedDB

     %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\Local Storage

     %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\tmp

    • In Windows Credential Manager, please select Windows Credentials, under Generic Credentials, please delete Microsoft Teams related credentials (you will see them called msteams_adalsso/… ).

    If you are using Mac:

    • Please delete files in the following folders:

    “~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/Application Cache/Cache”

    “~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/blob_storage”

    “~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/Cache”

    “~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/databases”

    “~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/GPUCache”

    “~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/IndexedDB”

    “~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/Local Storage”

    “~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/tmp”

    • Start Keychain Access: Select the Finder application, click Utilities on the Go menu, and then double-click Keychain Access. Find Microsoft Teams Identities Cache and delete it.

If the issue persists on the web, to check if it is related to this device, please kindly switch to another device (if possible) and sign into Teams on the web to see if it works there.

Hope this helps. Please feel free to let us know if there are any updates from you. If none of the above works, to further help you with your question, please kindly provide us your Teams account and a screenshot of the error messages via Private Messages for further analysis. You could also check your private messages from your forum account profile > view private messages. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

    Best regards,

    Jasmine
