Assignment notifications don't occur in a team's post section

Question

I'm asking this for a colleague of mine. We use Teams with our classes, each class having its own team.

Normally, after publishing an assignment via the "Assignment"-section, an automatic notification post referring to the assignment is published in the team's "Posts" section.

However, in two of my colleague's teams, this does not work anymore. The students can only see their assignments in the "Assignments" section, while in all the other teams, the automatic posts is still published in the team's post sections.

The strange thing is, that we did not change any settings regarding notifications or whatever and it makes no difference between using the Teams app for Windows or a web broswer.

Does anyone have an idea!?

Hi I have a similar problem, except my assignments have shown up in the post section, and despite not yet ticking the box to return them, I can see the marked work for all students in the post. I have tried going back in to change where it posts to, but I am unable to edit. I don’t want them to be able to see the marks yet, until all classes have been marked and standardised.

Hopefully, the student view in posts is different to mine. If it isn’t, it makes a nonsense of the ‘return assignments’ option, not to mention privacy if they are able to see their whole class essays, marks and comments.

Help please!

Hi Arne_BSZW,

I'm Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this.

Please check that you choose the correct channel for the assignment notification post.

To check, please follow the steps from this article's section "Choose where assignment notifications should post":

Please let me know the outcome, and I'll look further into this.
