How do I change the order of my email accounts in the main window?

Hello,

I use windows live mail with a bunch of different email accounts and for some reason I cannot figure out how to have them displayed in the order I want. I tried changing their names but it has no effect.

I've been trying to figure this out for a while and it's really annoying and I waste time scrolling up and down that menu constantly...

If anyone has an idea...

Thanks a lot!

Right click on the account name and then select move up or move down

The order of sending and receiving is the alphanumerical order of the internal names you've given the mail accounts.

So you can change the order of sending and receiving accounts by changing the internal names you gave your email accounts.  Maybe put a "%" in front of it.  ("%", "@", anything that is ordered ahead of "a")

You find the this internal name by going

Options > Email Accounts > selecting the email account concerned > Properties

Then it is at the top of the General Tab under mail account, where it says "Type the name by which you would like to refer to these servers.  For example:  "Work" or "Windows Live Hotmail".

This is an internal name, you can make it anything you want because it is only used locally on your computer.  So stick a % at the front of the account you want checked first.

    Just change this internal name.

Keep the external names (Email address, Reply address, and Login name) as they are.
