Teams hanging on startup

Good morning,

For the last few months at the company, I work for Teams keeps hanging/ getting stuck on the splash screen randomly on startup. This is happening to more and more staff as the weeks go by.

The issue stops if you clear the cache from the Roaming folder until the staff member shuts down/restarts their machine. The only workaround I've found that works is changing the Teams.exe to compatibility mode (Windows 8) which allows Teams to work but then other bugs occur. Like not being able to see who's online or who's calling you.

Looking at the log files there seems to be a common issue which is :

Mon Mar 01 2021 07:56:54 GMT+0000 (Greenwich Mean Time) <1244> -- error -- [DesktopConfig] Get SignedInActiveUser Undefined value: UserAccounts existed: true, accountType existed: false

Mon Mar 01 2021 07:56:54 GMT+0000 (Greenwich Mean Time) <1244> -- error -- Can not get UserProfile for active signed in user

Teams client is also on the latest version.

Has anyone seen this issue before or is having the same problem? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

I have seen this issue as well, though so far only with a singular end user. The only workaround I've discovered (I have not yet tried those in the original post) is quitting Teams from the system tray while it's hung on the "Loading" screen. Once Teams fully closes, opening it back up has the splash screen make mention of encountering a glitch, and that it's fixing something... it then provides a screen for account selection, rather than trying to automatically grab the UserProfile itself - this allows login, until the next time the user quits and boots up Teams.

I'd be happy to get an answer or solution for this, as well!
