Disable Automatic opening of RTD source software

Hi,

I have an excel spreadsheet that uses the RTD function. Everytime I open this spreadsheet the software that sends the RTD signal is automatically opened as well. Is there any way I can disable this?

    According to your description, I have the following information need to confirm with you.

    1. Which version of Office are you using?
    2. Are there any macro code in your work Workbook?

    <<What do you mean the software? Is a RTD server?

    Please try the following to check this issue.

    Open the Workbook, go to File>Options>Formulas>change the Calculation options to Manual.
    Go to File>Options>Advanced>General>to check Ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange(DDE) option.
