Clear Teams cache Windows 10

Is there a way to clear the cache or history on Teams? I just notice sometimes it moves slow and I use Teams everyday for work.

    Hello

    My name is Veejay, I'm an Independent Advisor.

    To clear your Teams desktop app cache:

    1. Sign out on Teams > Quit Microsoft Teams by right clicking the icon and select Quit.
    2. On your keyboard, Hold Windows key and Press R
    3. Cut and paste %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams in the RUN then OK.
    4. Delete the contents of the entire folder.
    5. Restart Device > Restart Microsoft Teams > Sign In.

    Will erasing the cache affect the chat history in any way?

    Hey! 
    I'm Fïdo and i work in a help desk. 

    I just tried this command and it worked perfectly for the setup at my company. 

    The chat history where perfectly intact and no issues where found afterwards. 

    Ofcause this is by no means a garentee for you, atleast it worked for me :)

    It does not appear to. I just cleared the cache on Teams 1.400.8872 on Windows 10 version 1909.
