Server 2016
HP raid 5, 3 4TB drives+ online spare (8TB)

Computer with 2TB data storage drive.

Don't know why site is altering my input - so I put sizes below in brackets.
(1.1 TB) of Data from 2TB drive is backed up to server.
(5.8 TB) is the size of files copied to server.

There is an extra 4.7TB on the Server compared to what is on the 2TB drive.
No duplicate files hidden files, Shadow copies are off... tried folder compression, but it does not impact size at all.

Question I am unsuccessfully dealing with is why?

Anyone have any ideas?

    Hi,
May I ask a few questions about your environment?
First of all, what’s the size of the RAID made by the hard disk?
Secondly, how much space are the files taking right now?
Last but not the least, how much left space you believe there should be?

Also please check and see if there’s any hidden files, and provide us with related screenshots if possible.

    Thanks for your understanding.
    Best regards,
    Danny
