Why did most of my Teams groups disappear in the Desktop version of MS Teams?

On the left-hand panel of MS Teams (desktop version) where you see can navigate to your Chats, Calendar, Calls, Teams, etc... most of the Teams groups that I belong to disappeared in the Teams page. Only my most active one remained. I asked a coworker to check if I was still a part of the Teams as a member or owner, and they confirmed. Why did they disappear and how can I re-gain access?

Yes, this is a recent change.

When you are in the Chat tab, if you scroll down, you will find the Teams and Channels section to expand.

    Or

You can click on the three dots to get to your teams and channels:

    OR

Go into Settings to choose the Separate option:

I have this same problem and no longer have any of these options, I have cleared Teams cache, reset Teams app and rebooted my machine multiple times. It is still the same.

Same. Most of my teams are missing and I do not have the "Chats and Channels" option

I have no idea why this works, but this worked for me.

    1. Click the 3 dots on the top right
    2. Click on Settings
    3. Go to Apperance
    4. Under Chat Density, Select Compact then switch back to Comfy. (The reverse if you're already on comptact)

Check your teams tab and see if the Teams are now populating.

Again, I have no idea why this works, but it worked for the users at my company having the same issue.

It didn't work for me, but it was worth a try. Thanks!
