Hello,
My name is EngineTyme, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you and I would be glad to help you.
I understand that you would like to know if it is possible to do screensharing on Teams both on Windows and MacOS.
Yes, it is possible to remotely access and control another person’s computer using Microsoft Teams. This feature is called remote control, and it allows you to take control of another person’s computer with their permission, similar to the remote access capability that software such as TeamViewer enables.
To use this feature, both parties need to have a Microsoft Teams account. However, it is not necessary for both parties to have a paid version of Teams. The free version of Teams also supports remote control.
Here are the steps to enable remote control in Microsoft Teams:
- Open Microsoft Teams and join a meeting with the person whose computer you want to control.
- When the person shares their screen, click on the Request control button in the toolbar to request control of their screen.
- Wait for the person to grant you control. Once they grant you control, you can interact with their computer as if it were your own.
Please note that the person whose computer you want to control must grant you permission to do so. Also, remote control is only available during a meeting or a call. You cannot use remote control outside of a meeting or a call.
