Alert on lost SCOM discovery

Question

I am using a HPE management pack to connect to a HPE San. Most of the time it connects without any issue, but maybe once or twice a week it will lose the connection between SCOM and the SAN and I have to re-set the password in the HPE provided client configuration tool and then restart the SCOM agent on the server that manages that snmp connection.

What I would like is an alert when this connection is lost or possibly SCOM has tried and failed to retain the discovery of the device?

Does anyone have any ideas how I could tackle this please?
