Please i need your help on this issue.

I need to be able to block users from using a third party ai on teams.

some users within the o365 environment already have note taken AIs' like otter.ai installed on their teams on their local machine.

I want to stop this and similar apps on this tenant account.

I have done a few things from teams admin manage app settings, but no luck.

Based on your description, I understand you need to be able to block users from using a third party ai on Teams.

You may kindly try to set up a new app permission policy and assign it to users:

1. Sign in to the Teams admin center and go to Teams apps > Permission policies.
2. Select Add.
3. Provide a name and description for the policy.
4. Under Microsoft apps, Third-party apps, and Custom apps, please select one of the following options for Third-Party apps depending on your need:
   • Allow specific apps or copilot agents and block all others
   • Block specific apps or copilot agents and allow all others
   • Block all apps or copilot agents
5. If you selected Allow specific apps and block all others, add the apps that you want to allow:
   • Select Allow apps.
   • Search for the apps that you want to allow, and then select Add. The search results are filtered to the app developer (Microsoft apps, Third-party apps, or Custom apps).
   • After choosing one or more apps, select Allow.
6. Select Save.
7. Then you can assign it to individual users. Please note:

• Teams doesn't support group policy assignments for app permission policies. App permission policies take effect only when you apply a policy to a user. See the different ways to assign the policy to users.
• It may take some time for the policy assignment changes to take effect.
• Teams provides granular controls to configure access for each app and for each user. To allow an app or a Copilot agent, you must do all of the following settings.
