Accessing Microsoft Teams for Education using school or organizational credentials

Thank you for coming to the forum. My name is Fuad, and I'm happy to help you in the best way I can. Note, I am a user like you, this is a user forum and not Microsoft directly.
I have come across this issue before, and below is what I did.
First, can you confirm in your reply if this is a personal account or a work/school account assigned to you?
Also, go to the web and be sure you can sign in with no issues, if you can access teams on the web, clear the cache and try again

Clear Teams cache on Windows
If Teams is still running, right-click the Teams icon in the taskbar, and then select Quit.
Open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows logo key +R.
In the Run dialog box, enter %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams, and then select OK.
Delete all files and folders in the %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams directory.
Restart Teams.
Clear Teams cache on macOS
If Teams is still running, right-click the Teams icon in the dock, and then select Quit, or press Command (⌘)-Q.
In the Finder, open the /Applications/Utilities folder, and then double-click Terminal.
Enter the following command, and then press Return:
rm -r ~/Library/Application\ Support/Microsoft/Teams
Restart Teams.
