How to remove accounts from Microsoft Teams app on Android?

I used to work for previous employers who used MS Teams. However, my account is disabled since I no longer work for these employers, yet I keep getting pop ups everytime I open Microsoft Teams saying to login. I can't log in and sign out since I no longer have ownership of those accounts. How can I get rid of them so that the only account that shows up on my MS teams is the one connected to my current employer?

Hello Annajulia Santa Elena,

I have provided the steps to remove the account from the Android device. The settings may vary depending on the app version you are using. For your convenience, again I'm sharing the steps to remove a Microsoft Teams account from the Android app:

  1. Open the Microsoft Teams app on your Android device.
  2. From the top left click on the Profile icon -> Click on Settings -> There will be 2 options (Sign out, Delete account) Image
  3. Tap on the account and select the "Remove" or "Sign out" option to disconnect that account from the app. If the above steps don't work, you can also try clearing the app's cache and data. Go to your device's Settings > Apps > Microsoft Teams, then tap on "Storage" and select "Clear cache" and "Clear data".
  4. Finally, you can try uninstalling and then reinstalling the Microsoft Teams app to remove the account fully.

I hope I was able to answer all of your queries. Please help me vote on it. With your vote, other users looking for the same details on this community site can easily find this thread.

I managed to access the menu and sign out of my old work account by disabling WiFi and mobile data. It still kept spamming me, but pressing back (not the button in the app, but system bar back) each time and quickly navigating to what the "official" answer said.

When I open Teams on my Android phone, it displays a sign-on screen for my work account. I cannot access any menus in Teams, only the login screen from my former employer's work account. There are no options other than to log in. How do I delete the forced login requirement from my former work account?

    Thank you,

    --Barry
