Hi, this a reproducable bug with teams and teams for web.

Windows has High Contrast mode turned on.

In teams, go to one of you team channels and click on the File tab to move from Posts to Files.

The whole Files window will fail to load and stay black. A blue loading animation appears at the top for a few seconds and then stops.

The files can be access directly via the sharepoint site without issue.

Turning High Contrast off and restarting brings files back.

I had always used high contrast mode and was able to access the files in the file sections in MS Teams channels. But suddenly today (06/10/24) I can no more. I really like the high contrast mode as it makes my work lot more easy. I do agree that this is not a helpful end users experience. Hopefully MSFT can find solution to this sooner than later.

Same issue is happening on multiple PCs in our environment. Turning high contrast mode off fixes the issue, but this is not helpful for end-users that experience vision problems.

I can confirm that in our organisation we can reproduce this error. We have a user who is unable to work without the High Contrast setting turned on. All this users work is accessed through Files within a Teams channel. We have Microsoft Teams version 24102.2223.2870.9480 with client version 49/24050307617. We are on EDGE Stable channel version 125.0.2535.92.

When should we expect a fix for this? Alternatively can Microsoft offer a workaround for us? Is there a way to roll Teams back to the earlier version.

    Thank you

As a workaround we have set up our users that use High Contrast mode with a shortcut to their Teams site in SharePoint Online . This displays files correctly in the High Contrast mode and the excel files, once launched, are in the High Contrast Black mode as required.

However, we are eager for the Teams fault to be fixed ASAP as this work around is more complicated for our users with visual impairments. In future please could Microsoft test their Teams updates with High Contrast mode.
