High-Contrast issue with Teams Devices (Lenovo Core+Controller: Microsoft Teams)

Having an issue with High-Contrast mode being stuck even if I turn off the setting. If turned on at least once, it remembers that it was one at one point, and once the unit is reset, it goes to High-Contrast mode at startup. Have tried going into the admin side and clearing the system cache and trying to find a way to make sure that at startup it does not go to high-contrast mode but no luck.

Has anybody had any success with fixing this issue?

Tried contacting Microsoft Support but I have to have an Pro account setup to even get in contact with them.

    Hi Eddie,

I'm Ahmed and I am here & happy to help.

I apologize for the issue you are experiencing with MS Teams. Please be assured that I will do my best to provide a satisfactory response and assist you with resolving the problem.

    Please check the following steps:

    1. Quit Microsoft Teams. Right-click the icon and select Quit.
    2. Cut and paste %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams into File Explorer.
    3. Delete the contents of the entire folder.
    4. Restart Microsoft Teams.

If you're using Mac, try clearing the Teams app cache this way.

    1. Sign out of Microsoft Teams
    2. In the Finder on the Mac, choose Go > Go To Folder. Enter the path to the following folders and delete the files they contain:

    ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/Application Cache/Cache

    ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/blob_storage

    ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/Cache

    ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/databases

    ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/GPUCache

    ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/IndexedDB

    ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/Local Storage

    ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/tmp

    1. Restart Microsoft Teams

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Best regards,

    Hello Ahmed,

So the issue here is this a Teams Device and not just the regular Teams App on a desktop computer.

The Teams Device has a certain OS installed to where as soon as you turn on the "PC" (Lenovo Core) it starts up on a "Skype" Account that runs a Teams Themed OS.
In order to control the "PC" you need a "Touchpanel" (Lenovo Controller) where the control resides. You can get into the Administrator settings and it will look just like a PC OS but it is hard to find the Cache information on that side. I have already tried and looks like I did delete all the cache I could find.

I have attached some images for some context.

So the issue here is that even if I turn off High-Contrast in the accessibility settings, the setting reverts back to on whenever I either of these actions:

    1. Go into the windows settings
    • This will log me out of the "skype" account so that I can login to the Admin account

    or

    1. Restart the device

Here is what it looks like on how to get to the windows settings

Skype account goes back to High-Contrast once I press Windows Settings, but admin account is fine
