MS Planner/MS Project integration

I'm working on an Agile transformation for a department who have been doing waterfall using MS Project. It's not really a complex environment and they don't want to go out and get licenses for Jira or Azure DevOps so they have started to use Planner for their task board. They like its integration with Teams among other things.

But the Product Owner has her MS Project schedule and effectively considers that her backlog if she looks towards Agile She was initially thinking of re-entering the information into Planner but then we got to wondering:

Is there any integration either unidirectional or bidirectional between Planner and Project? That would be nice as it would save her some work. If not, so be it.

If there is, please let me know if there are certain versions she would need to use. Thanks

    Hi, JSTEWART4

    Thanks for reaching out.
    My name is God'swill, I'll be happy to help you today.

    This solution will only allow you to integrate MS Planner with Project Online. If you do not want to integrate MS Planner with Project Online but would rather integrate it with a Microsoft Project Server running locally, this is not so easy. For this, you would also need an integration middleware such as TPG PSLink. Please find below a detailed article on how to go about the integration;

    Please be sure to let me know if you need more help as I'll be glad to do so.

    Regards...

    That's great, thanks. I am not sure if they are using MS Project Online or not. I doubt they are using Server. And my guess is it is not worth using an integration tool. If they are using Project Online I will share that article. thanks.
