Hi. I want to change teams calendar to eliminate hours so that it only appears from 7 am to 4 pm like my team members. How is this possible?

I am having this same issue. My schedule is correct in Outlook and the Teams add-in is installed, but my schedule in Teams still shows the default 8-5. Is there an update to this issue?

I was able to get it to work however I had to go into the web Outlook. It takes a while to replicate through the systems depending on your organization's infrastructure but it now shows my correct work hours that I set.

    1. Login and open web Outlook (I usually go through office.com then click Outlook)
    2. Go to the full calendar view
    3. Click the settings gear
    4. Click Work hours and location
    5. Set the days and hours
    6. Save
    7. Restart Outlook and Teams desktop apps. Fully quit, don't just close.

Once again, it may take over an hour to pick up in Teams but that what I did and it worked for me. I recommend making sure your Outlook desktop app is set to the same hours, especially if you use more than one computer.

FYI, I use both Windows and Mac and it reflects the change on both.

Hi, Stephanie. I am an independent advisor, trying to help other users in the Community with my experience in Microsoft products. Please note that I am a user like you and don't work directly for Microsoft.

Sure, you can do this following the steps highlighted by Sergio in the article at https://answers.microsoft.com/thread/0c07b2da-9c99-473b-88d4-1cf3d2171f35

"You need to make this change in Outlook, after which you should log out and log in to Teams.

To change your work days and work times in Outlook, do the following:

    1. In your Outlook calendar, click the File tab, then Options>Calendar.
    2. Under Work time, choose the Start time and End time, of your work day.
    3. Select the days of the week that you work, and clear the days that are not part of your work week.
    4. Choose the First day of the week, that you start working.
    5. To change the first week of the year, choose an option in the First week of the year list.
    6. Click OK to confirm the changes. If the calendar wong sinc, then you should remove all Teams cache files."

Understand that I am an independent advisor and only trying to assist in the best possible way.

Kindly let me know if the possible solutions provided help and if you need any other assistance, I will be more than happy to help further.

    Regards

    Femi

    Hi Femi,

I currently have that in place showing the correct times (in the calendar). However, it does not translate to Teams.

My understanding is that in NEW teams, your calendar in outlook no longer translates to your teams account.

    See below:

    thank you,

    Stephanie

I am sorry about the persisting issue, Stephanie.

It would seem to sync between Teams and the calendar isn't working as it should. To troubleshoot the issue, please follow the steps below:

"check the Teams Meeting Add-In, and ensure that is installed and enabled.

Check if the Teams Meeting add-in is installed: The Teams Meeting add-in should be automatically installed if you have Microsoft Teams and either Office 2013, Office 2016, Office 2019, or Office 2021 installed on your Windows PC. If it is not installed, you can download and install it from the Microsoft website.

Check if the Teams Meeting add-in is enabled: In Outlook, select File > Options > Add-ins. Check if the Teams Meeting add-in is listed under Active Application Add-ins. If it is listed under Disabled Application Add-ins, select COM Add-ins, and then select Go. Select the Microsoft Teams Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office checkbox. Choose OK on all dialog boxes, and then close Outlook. Restart Outlook."

This is culled from the post created by Umar in the article https://answers.microsoft.com/thread/b22834eb-6ae5-4b8d-ad66-122d7694428b

    Thanks

    Hello,

    This is all in place.

I believe the issue is with NEW teams, not the old teams (prior to the release in Q4 of 2023).

The NEW teams has it broken out to have your teams schedule separate from your calendar. Meaning, any changes you make on your calendar (in outlook) will not change on NEW teams.
