How do we get recurring meeting notes to carry over in Microsoft Teams Notes?

We have a recurring meeting once a week that we keep to-dos in. In Microsoft Teams, we are trying to set up recurring meeting notes that carry over the to-do items from week to week, so they are always on the agenda. How do we do that (utilizing the .loop functionality)?

Currently, we are getting a new .loop file every time we start the meeting each week. We'd like it to be one file.

This is amazing trick, but unfortunately for me the participants list is long so I cannot keep sending them all meeting invites separately for every week.

As someone suggested earlier, I opened the entire series in edit mode and enabled notes section at the bottom.

Now I maintain by notes under the main meeting notes in loop (it is with the title of meeting without any dates) and keep all notes consolidated there. However, MS Teams does create a new entry with the date and meeting title , every time when this particular meeting starts , with the notes from previous meeting. Which I need to then update quickly as soon as the meeting starts.

So either options are not 100% seamless. :(

    Dear JaydenInMN,

Thank you for posting to the Microsoft Community. We are happy to assist you.

To have recurring meeting notes that carry over the to-do items from week to week in Microsoft Teams, you can use the following steps:

    1. Start a new meeting in Teams and click on the "Meeting Notes" tab.
    2. Click on the "Take notes" button to create a new note.
    3. In the note, create a section for your to-do items and add your first set of to-do items.
    4. Click on the "..." button in the top right corner of the note and select "Loop."
    5. Set the recurrence for your meeting and click "Save."
    6. Your note will now be set to loop and will carry over your to-do items from week to week.

Note that each looped note will be a separate file, but they will all be accessible from the "Meeting Notes" tab in your Teams channel.

Appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Simbarashe | Microsoft Community Moderator

When I click on the three dots on the note, I get the following options:

    1. Shared Locations
    2. Copy component
    3. See who has access
    4. Open in Browser

My menu seems to be different than what yours is? I appreciate your help in getting this figured out.

I am having the same issue as the original poster, my list of options when clicking the ... is

    1. Shared Locations
    2. Copy component
    3. See who has access
    4. Open in Browser

This is a meeting scheduled directly with individuals and not scheduled in a channel if that makes a difference

I am finding the same thing. It appears to have something to do with how the meeting is created, but none of us can find a rhyme or reasons for it. Does anybody else have any other ideas?
