Hi,

I usually join MS Teams meetings on my iPhone (for microphone & speaker), and then on my MacBook for screen sharing which is all great. However, each time I join with my phone I have to say that the microphone shall be enabled and the speaker shall be on. How can make that the default?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Kind regards, Dirk

    Hello ZDTDT,

I apologise for any confusion. The “Devices” option seems not available on the Microsoft Teams app for iPhone. You can check if your app is up to date by going to the App Store and checking for updates. If your app is up to date and you still do not see the “Devices” option, you can try adjusting the microphone and speaker settings through your iPhone’s sets instead of through the Microsoft Teams app.

To do this, you can follow these steps:

Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

Scroll down and select Microsoft Teams.

Select the Microphone and make sure the toggle is switched on.

Select Speaker and make sure the toggle is switched on.

This should allow Microsoft Teams to access your microphone and speaker by default. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Kind regards, Segunfunmi.

Thanks for continuing to look into this, Segunfunmi. I do have the latest Teams version on my phone, the Microphone was enabled in its settings but there are not settings for a speaker. Unfortunately enabling the mic (i.e. toggle = on ) does not seems to make it a default when starting the meeting.

    Thanks again for your help!

    Kind regards, Dirk

Thanks so much, Segunfunmi, for your quick reply: When I click on the profile picture on my phone, and then on Settings, there is no entry "Devices" (there is Appearance, Data & Storage, Translation, some entries from my company, About, Help&Feedback, What's new, Privacy and Add Account). On the MacBook there is, though, but changes there should not impact my phone, right? Do you have any idea how I could make the entry for :"Devices" appear on my iPhone?

    Kind regards, Dirk
