Are Excel Cell Controls (e.g. Check box) going to be a thing?

Jeff Lenning, a well known YouTube Excel guru, recently featured a very cool new widgetcalled a Cell Level Control in the Insert menu (not the Developer menu), in this case a checkbox, which seems to be a format overlay of a cell that stores a boolean value. This could really take the sting out of design time and makes performing analysis on the range values very simple. Copy and paste work very well to clone your work, just like any formula or format. Unfortunately the features does not seem to be present in my Beta Excel 365 (Microsoft® Excel® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2403 Build 16.0.17425.20000) 64-bit). Did not see discussion of this, hoping someone knows something thing about when this might roll out more widely.
