I am using Office 365 but cannot see the functions GROUPBY and PIVOTBY in my version. On checking the same online, it is mentioned to shift to the beta channel from the current channel. However, I am not able to shift from Current channel to Beta channel as cannot find option of Office Insider application.

Can you please help on converting or upgrading to beta channel on Office 365 license?

    Hi Jatin Vora,

Thanks for your post in Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, it seems like that you 're inquiring about how to enroll in the Microsoft 365 Insider Program, we can fully understand your distress and will do everything we can to help you.

Typically, if you have a subscription to Microsoft 365 Personal or Family, you would expect to see options related to the Insider Program on your product information page as depicted in the screenshot provided.

If the Microsoft 365 Insider option is not visible to you, it's likely that your subscription type does not qualify for the Insider Program, possibly because it's not a Personal or Family edition. We kindly request that you share a screenshot of your Product Information page (accessible via File > Account) with us, as this would greatly assist in diagnosing the issue.

For more information about the Microsoft 365 Insider Program, please refer to Join the Microsoft 365 Insider Program.

In addition, we have recently received feedback from numerous users indicating that Microsoft has apparently disabled the use of the preview functions GROUPBY and PIVOTBY in certain versions of Microsoft 365 Insider. For example, in version 2406 (build 17726.20078) as shown in the screenshot, these two preview functions are no longer accessible. Considering that such features are in the testing phase and are subject to change and instability, Microsoft may, for various reasons, revoke access to preview functions. It's important to note that within the Microsoft 365 Insider program, there is no option to revert to previous versions. Please be aware of this limitation.

Please share the screenshot of your Microsoft 365 Product Information with us. We look forward to your update. If you have further questions, please feel free to contact us!

Thanks for your cooperation and understanding. I hope that you are keeping safe and well!

    Best Regards,

Thomas C - MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
