Excel 2016 automatically hides workbook upon opening of a second workbook

Has anyone experienced strange behaviour from Excel 2016 version 1808 build 10730.20053 which includes workbooks being hidden automatically after opening another workbook?  This is sometimes followed by not being able to open or close other workbooks or close Excel.

Does this happen with every workbook you try, or just specific ones? I'm not currently able to reproduce this issue.

I've only noticed it with the ones I am working with daily.  It just happened again.  Screen shot shows the automatically hidden workbook below my PERSONAL workbook.  I will test with some other workbooks to see if it happens again.

Can you clarify what you mean by the workbooks being hidden? Are they minimized and you're unable to maximize/show them? Do they show up of you ALT+TAB or Windows key + TAB?

Hi Jesse, I have to go the 'view' tab and click 'unhide' and then choose the workbook.  Thanks.

Do you have a Personal.xlsb macro workbook that may have some code that automatically hides a workbook, or do you have an XLSM or XLSB file open first that has that code in it?
