"Errors were detected while saving" but then "No errors found"

Over the past few weeks I've been getting a message when I try to save a file: Errors were detected while saving ... To make repairs in a new file, click Continue."

I select Continue. Excel has me navigate back to where I want to save, and re-enter the file name. Then there's a message: "No errors were found" and the document saves. But as soon as I save again, the process starts up "Errors detected while saving ..."

This tends to happen on brand new workbooks. And it's even happening when there's no VBA, no Get & Transform, not even formulas--just text typed into cells.

    Hi Oz

Sounds like it is an issue that popped up several times with different builds. No news on a fix yet, but I'll let you know if I hear anything.

Keep checking for updates, as the teams don't always let us know when things get fixed (we hear it from Insiders first :))

    Thanks

Thanks for the update. I've wondered if this is a bug.

    Hi Oz,

I sent a note to the Excel team, and they're investigating. So far it sounds like this is similar to another bug they filed and were investigating.

If I hear anything I'll let you know, or maybe one of the team members will drop in with some more info.

    Thanks

I did open a document in Safe Mode and couldn't reproduce the problem.
