  1. On MS Loop is it possible to recover deleted components?
  2. When copying a component to Outlook - if the recipient makes a change to the component or deletes information - is it possible to recover this information in the original email from yourself to the recipient?

Thanks

Kind regards

Lauren

    Hello Lauren D'Silva,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community, it's an honour to help you.

Based on your description, I have understood your problem.

Firstly, regarding your first question, there is no Recycle Bin on Microsoft Loop, but you can recover deleted components through other Microsoft applications, here's how to do it:

You can find the location of your SharePoint catalogue by going to https://www.office.com/ and looking at Quick Access or Recently Viewed Files. You may be in luck if you have recently viewed a loop in the Loops workspace of the missing file.

    1. Select the loop file.
    2. Select the ellipsis and then select ‘Open Location’.

    1. You will now be in the SharePoint location (Documents\LoopData).
    2. The Recycle Bin will be located on the left hand menu.

    1. You can open the Recycle Bin and select the files you want to restore.

For your second question, if the recipient has made changes to the component or deleted certain information, these changes are to the copy they received and do not affect the component in your original email.

If you have made changes to the original file and wish to restore the original component information that was sent to the recipient, you will need to rely on your own saved copy or backup.

Additionally you can use the Shared component in Outlook, where you can view other people's activity and access rights. If others are editing while you are viewing the component, you will see a different coloured cursor in it. You can also see the text being edited in real time. For more information you can refer to this article: Use Loop components in Outlook - Microsoft Support

If you have important data, it is recommended that you try to back up your data afterwards, this will prevent you from losing your files due to some circumstances.

I hope it can help you, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me, thank you for your understanding and support.

    Best regards
