Cannot backspace in MS Loop - deletes my line of text.

As I tried typing in MS loop, I cannot backspace as it puts my entire line of text into a "pending" state. Once I press anything else, the line of text is deleted.

How can I ensure it works as regularly in typing as Word or Google Doc?

I tried it on a few devices and it works the same.

I had this issue too, so I switched to my regular browser, Firefox, and have other somewhat unpredictable issues with backspace.

    • Selecting text and pressing backspace will delete a character somewhere else on the page.
    • Typing a title and then clicking a paragraph to type of delete some text will sometimes do nothing at all.
    • Clicking between characters to press backspace will delete the character when the cursor used to be.

I have the same problem. So frustrating I went back to OneNote. Another MS product that isn't ready for production.

Same issue as OP, in Edge, two separate clicks of backspace and the entire element is gone.

Problem does not happen in Chrome.

This a big issue for us that don't type flawlessly.

I take alot of notes, so I need a rich notetaking app. I have switched over from Obsidian to build my notes in the Microsoft ecosystem rather than a 3rd party software I have to explain to my colleagues. Not being able the backspace is crucial to be able to continue using Loop, I hope this issue is fixed soon, otherwise Loop wont have a userbase that Microsoft deems worth to fund development.

Issue in Opera, a chromium based browser.

Man that sucks. I was hoping this was a feature. I can backspace once to get rid of one character then the box lights up and the next press deletes the whole line. That is, if it let's me use the backspace at all. Seems to not respond sometimes and then can't type anything until it frees up or whatever it does.

Like where it's going and has some features that I've always wished OneNote had. Patch soon??? I'm using Vivaldi and was going to try another browser but by the looks of things it would be a waste of time.
