    Hi,

I would like to check if this registry key "UpdateToVersion" is present on the system, if yes try taking a backup of the same and delete it.

Note: please make a backup of the registry prior to deleting the registry key. For more information on how to back-up the registry please follow the article.

How to back up and restore the registry in Windows

To open the registry editor, Press Windows Key + R on your keyboard to open up the run window, type in regedit, and hit enter. Once opened browse to:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun\Configuration

Once done, try updating office by going to FILE>ACCOUNT>Office Updates.

Do get back to us if you need further assistance with Office applications.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Thank you posting your query in Microsoft Office Community.

A quick question before we proceed.

Did you try to update Manually? By going to FILE>ACCOUNT>Office Updates>Update Now?

Make sure that your computer date is correct and then try to run update and check if it helps.

Keep us posted on the status of the issue and we will be glad to offer our assistance.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

The date of my computer is correct.

I have just tried again to run the update by going to FILE>ACCOUNT>Office Updates>Update Now. However, after a while, the result is the same: your system is up to date.

    Thanks

    Jacopo
