Hello Joseph! My name is Marco, I am an Independent Advisor. I will do my best to help you.

The quality of safe search does not come from Edge but from search engines.

Each search engine has their safe search system. If you use Bing you can put it more strick because by default it is to moderate

    https://www.bing.com/account

    For google

Go to the Search Settings page.

In the 'SafeSearch Filters' section, check or uncheck 'Activate SafeSearch'.

And also changes from moderate to strick

At the bottom of the page, click Save.

... it should definitely come with group policy.

There is a GPO that enforces safe search when using Bing. The browser has no control over other third-party search engines.

To configure Edge to use strict safe searching with Bing, you can add the appropriate registry entry.

    1.   Close all Edge windows.

    2.   Copy this line of code:

    reg add HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge /v ForceBingSafeSearch /t REG_DWORD /d 2

    3.   Press Windows key + R to open a Run box, type cmd and press Ctrl-Shift-Enter to open an administrator command window.

    4.   Right-click inside the window and select Paste (or press Ctrl-V) to enter the line of code you copied at (1), then press Enter to execute the command.

You should see a message reading The operation completed successfully.

    5.   Close the command window, launch Edge and try searching for something unsavoury with Bing. I see this:

Your current Bing SafeSearch setting filters out results that might return adult content. To view those results as well, change your SafeSearch setting.Learn more

The Learn more link may show you another way of achieving the same result using a Hosts file redirection.

    Thank you.

I had done the above for both search engines. Prior to upgrade of Edge any attempt at unwanted searches

resulted in response without explicit listing of websites.  Sine the change, search results are returned with

    explicit listing of such sites.
