I have been using Outlook App for my office 365 emails rather than web app.

All of  a sudden it has kicked me out, and when i try to re add my account i get the message Something went wrong and Outlook couldn't set up your account.

I have tried clean install of Office as well as deleting all credentials from credentials manager. Still no luck. Any advice?

Thanks in advance

Kicked out presumably mean Outlook shutdown?????????

Did you not then undertake the standard in-place repair?

And why would you then try to add the account in?

There must be more to this than you are saying

    Hi Cee,

    Many thanks for the issue description, you can try the below and see how it works;

At file explorer, navigate to the C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook where UserName should be replaced by your PC name, and the AppDate can only viewed by show the hidden item.

Delete all item there (make sure to back up the data before you doing so)

    Then

    1. Select the Windows icon, type Control Panel in the search box and select it.
    2. In Control Panel, search Mail, and select it.
    3. The Mail icon won't appear unless you have Outlook installed and have run the program at least once.
The Mail Setup dialog box opens.
    4. Click Show Profiles.
    5. Click Add.
    6. Type a name for the profile, and then click OK.
    7. Add an e-mail account to use in your profile by following the directions on your screen.

Start the new outlook to see how it looks like. One more thing, please kindly turn off any anti-malware software or VPN to help us narrow down the issue.

Please let me know how it helps.

    Kind Regards,

    George

I try that also but it also fails. Not sure what this means.
